I am a night person. I’d always known it. I was born at night. I stay up late. I do some of my best work at night. So, before I’d even sniffed Caudalie’s new Fresh Fragrance Collection, inspired by the experience in a French vineyard at Dawn, Noon and Dusk I just knew which one I’d be drawn to…

Being the Gemini that I am (indecisive, much?), when it came down to trying this trio out at a recent event, I had a hard time deciding which fragrance I liked best. Maybe we were distracted by the luxe ambiance of the Caudalie Vinothérapie Spa at the Plaza Hotel, but Stephanee and I took so long to decide. Of course, Dusk: Thé des Vignes won out for me, but here are my impressions of all three:

Dawn: Fleur de Vigne – This fragrance has notes of mandarin, cedar and grapefruit and is very fresh and light. It is meant to channel the scent of blooming grape flowers at dawn. This fragrance is the mildest of the three.

Noon: Zeste de Vigne – This fragrance was a sleeper hit for me. It was the first perfume I grabbed as I was running out of the house one day for a coffee date. The smell was quite faint and I was initially disappointed BUT…I sniffed my wrist about 30 minutes later and smelled such a pretty, clean scent with a hint of musk. Score! Zeste de Vigne contains notes of lemon and bergamot.

Dusk: Thé des Vignes – (MY FAVE!) This is the boldest and most concentrated scent of the trio. Notes of ginger, white musk, orange blossom and neroli give this scent its punch. Much like the dusk itself, Thé des Vignes is very sultry and mysterious. Unlike other fragrances, this scent becomes invisible to my nose after about 30 minutes, but I receive compliments left and right whenever I put it on. Good stuff!
