Beauties, all the rumors you’ve heard are true.
The Clarisonic Skin Care System ($195) is the best thing since sliced bread for taking care of that beautiful skin of yours.
This lovely little skin care brush is essentially a high-powered brush designed for cleansing the skin. It’s made by the same folks behind the Sonicare toothbrush and uses that same magical technology to produce 300+ brush rotations per minute.
The Clarisonic is gentle enough for sensitive skin and even helps the skin absorb products better. In fact, in the long run you will end up having to use less product because it will absorb in the skin much better. Also, countless dermatologists recommend it and use it in their practice…

My face has been very happy these past few weeks.
And, I’ve got SK II’s new Cellumination Essence Hydrating Serum ($150) to thank. This gel serum has a very light texture that my skin really likes. I use it as my daytime serum (underneath my SPF moisturizer) and it’s definitely one of the reasons I’ve been getting even more compliments on my skin these days
Random Tidbit: Once upon a time, scientists noticed that the hands of sake brewery workers in Japan were extraordinarily youthful and soft. SK II products contain Pitera, an ingredient that these nifty scientists isolated from the sake fermentation process.
I’ve always thought that was such a cool story!
Let me know if you’ve ever tried any SK II products!

This smells so good I wanna eat it! It brightens my skin really well, too.
Juice Beauty’s Green Apple Peel Full Strength ($45) was my first foray into the world of the exfoliating treatment mask and I’m happy to report smoother, brighter and more supple skin as a result.
As part of my Home Spa Initiative, I bought this at Sephora to use in my weekly mini-facial routine (detailed post in the pipeline!) After cleansing and toning, I paint a layer of this treatment onto my face and neck using an inexpensive concealer brush and leave it on for 15 minutes…

Hey Beauties,
I’ve been getting a lot of questions lately on how to take care of facial skin, so I decided to write a post about it.
I admit, the skin care and beauty worlds can be very confusing! Between all the products and tools and claims, it’s easy to lose sight of the basics of healthy skin. Of course, it is important to find the right products for your skin type and for any specific skin care concerns you might have, such as acne. Now without further ado, here are the basic skin care tips of my routine…

I like this Beauty Tidbit so much and I think it’s so helpful that I am re-posting!
How many of you Beauties remember to apply facial care products to both your face and neck?
I know it’s oh-so-easy to forget our neck and décolleté areas, but work on making it a habit!
Our necks need love, too, so as to avoid the sharp contrast in skin health from chin to nape. So, make sure to cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize your neck just as you do your face…your neck will thank you for it : )

p.s. – Did you remember your neck in your skincare routine today?
p.p.s. – Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

This serum rocks.
And, despite learning about why I need a serum in my life here, here and here over at the oh-so-fab Mischo Beauty, I confess to still forgetting to work them into my skin care routine – doh!
Well, La Mer’s Regenerating Serum ($250) has definitely helped me get on the serum bandwagon.
Serums work by providing highly concentrated goodness directly to your skin and La Mer’s Regenerating Serum is power-packed full of goodies to help feed your skin. What enticed me the most were the Marine Peptide Ferment and the Regenerating Ferment, which help boost collagen production, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and assist in the skin’s renewal. Of course we can’t forget the proprietary Miracle Broth, which this brand is famous for…

Find out which top hand hydrators our testers found desk drawer-worthy
|
|
We spend hundreds on youth-enhancing face lotions — but when’s the last time your hands got some love? “Hands show aging more than the face,” says Los Angeles-based dermatologist Dr. Howard Murad. Good point. So we had 10 testers review hand creams for two weeks. Which ones offered the best hydration — and which were just greasy? Find out in the ratings.
