I’ll admit it.

Skeptical I was when I first scoped Egyptian Magic ($30, www.EgyptianMagic.com) in Ricky’s.  All the talk about secret ancient formulas and all…

I Love My Clarisonic!

Beauties, all the rumors you’ve heard are true.

The Clarisonic Skin Care System ($195) is the best thing since sliced bread for taking care of that beautiful skin of yours.

This lovely little skin care brush is essentially a high-powered brush designed for cleansing the skin. It’s made by the same folks behind the Sonicare toothbrush and uses that same magical technology to produce 300+ brush rotations per minute.

The Clarisonic is gentle enough for sensitive skin and even helps the skin absorb products better. In fact, in the long run you will end up having to use less product because it will absorb in the skin much better. Also, countless dermatologists recommend it and use it in their practice…

Hey Beauties,

I’ve been getting a lot of questions lately on how to take care of facial skin, so I decided to write a post about it.

I admit, the skin care and beauty worlds can be very confusing! Between all the products and tools and claims, it’s easy to lose sight of the basics of healthy skin. Of course, it is important to find the right products for your skin type and for any specific skin care concerns you might have, such as acne. Now without further ado, here are the basic skin care tips of my routine…

Summer is around the corner, but aren’t the holidays are such a fun time?

For some reason most of my gifts tend to be beauty related (I wonder why, lol). Needless to say, I was super excited when I received Bliss’ Carrot + Sesame Body Buff set for x-mas (thanks Nana-lita)!

I wouldn’t go so far as to say that Apricot Scrub saved my life, but during my first weeks as a mother, sometimes it felt that way. When we came home from the hospital, I found myself suddenly clinging to parts of my beauty routine that had never seemed all that important before namely flossing and washing my face with Apricot Scrub. They’re pretty similar when you think about it: intense, thorough and a little painful, like tough love or a deep muscle massage. I guess digging into my gums and pores felt like I was weeding all the yuckiness out of my Cesarean experience so I could enjoy my baby and reclaim my body from the surgeon.

Well, dear readers, the groundhog saw his shadow last month, bit Mayor Bloomberg (lol!) and we in NYC recently had a huge snowstorm. Needless to say, it’s been quite cold and dry and our skin has been paying the price.

I must admit, I was pretty excited to try out the Aromatherapy Distillations Revitalizing Skin Polishing Ritual by Crabtree & Evelyn. I immediately thought about the mini spa treatments I’d give myself with it on a regular basis. Ahh…

Howdy Beauties!

I recently had the opportunity to test out several products from the Superskin line by Liz Earle and I was pleasantly surprised.
