Hi friends,

Another week, another (DIY) manicure. . .

Happy Monday

This week’s manicure features one of my FAVORITE nail shades.

Oddly enough, I have a thing for sheer, pale, but not-quite-clear shades. They get me every time!

Soo. . .

Hi Beauty Pies!

I’ve been more into my nails as of late, so I figured why not share it on the blog?

Anyhoo, I used to be irrationally obsessed with glittery nail polish as a pre-teen (and, frankly, a teen!) so this look is sort of a a modern throwback. . .a rebirth of glitter, if you will.

The first time I was introduced to Nail Tek I was in high school working at Harmons Beauty Discount store.I would use Nail Tek II Intensive Therapy for my soft and peeling nails and it actually helped my nails grow.

I was pleasantly surprised when my mom introduced me to the Nail Tek Patented Crystal Nail File ($19.95) since I had no idea they made other products. I’d previously purchased a cheaper version of this file and it pretty much wore out with regular use. I guess you get what you pay for…

Nail art is so intriguing to me these days!

I love trying to recreate looks I find on YouTube.

One day I came across a YouTube guru who specializes in nails. She did a video on how she dries her nails fast and mentioned a product called Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat ($8). I ran out and purchased the top coat ASAP and ever since then I’ve been a nail junkie/hoarder.

Seche Vite works like a charm and dries my polish within minutes…

Hello friends!

As you obviously know, this week is Mercedes Benz Fashion Week here in NYC.

We thought it would be fun to share some of the cool beauty trends that are popping up. We’d love to hear your opinion on them!

First up, The good folks at butter LONDON debuted an Ombré manicure at Yigal Azrouel’s Cut25 presentation.

Now, you know how much we love anything ombré

butter LONDON’s creative director, Nonie Creme, had this to say about the look…

Hi dolls!

Today I’ve got some wonderful nail color and care tips from nail maven Essie Weingarten.

An industry veteran, Essie recently participated in Glamour Magazine’s Celebrity Chats on Facebook and answered fans’ questions.

I’m such a big Essie fan, the colors are always vibrant and long-lasting.

My absolute favorite Essie shade is Allure (pictured below) a pretty nude that gives me such a clean, polished look.
