Curlformers are nylon spiral shaped rods that come with a crochet like hook. The hook allows you to pull your hair through the inside of the Curformers and end up with curls without using heat. . .

My first time hearing about Curlformers was from Naptural85 on Youtube. You can check out her video tutorial below.

As soon as I saw the video I drove to Sally’s Beauty Supply and bought the starter kit. . .

Wet ‘n Wild is giving other makeup companies a run for their money.

The other day in Rite Aid my brain must have short circuited and had a makeup overload  because I ended up buying every single color of Wet ‘n Wild’s Mega Last Lip Color ($2).

I’d picked up one on a whim the week before and fell in love, hence the beauty binge.

When I got home I realized I bought dupes of two of the same colors. Duh!

Thank the beauty Gods that I love these semi matte lipsticks. . .

Disclaimer: I am not a hair scientist, cosmetologist, or anything of that sort. However, I do have an extensive science background and I have reviewed a vast amount of literature. With this information, I will explain this topic as clearly as possible.

There’s plenty of talk about hair porosity on the Internet and hair forums but there aren’t always clear explanations of the science. This series is aimed to give you a simple and clear explanation of the science of hair.

Porosity is defined as “the ability to absorb fluids[1]. It is typically described in relative terms. . .

Commercials have the biggest effect on consumers and their buying habits.

Advertisements, however, aren’t all that honest and you rarely end up with the picture perfect burger or bouncy hair that you saw on TV.

Commercials that really get under my skin are mascara commercials. . .

I recently had a conversation with a friend of mine about age brackets and how they have evolved over the years.

It seems that 40’s are the new 30’s and 30’s are the new 20’s. Who even knows anymore?! I told my friend that all I needed in my life was my eye cream and I’m good to go.

I’ve been using eye cream since my mid-twenties. . .

Those of you that frequent Beauty365 know that hair is a huge part of our lives and we dedicate much time to the cause.

Annnnnnd, guess what?? I’m in the process of transitioning my hair AGAIN – for the third time. Hopefully this time I will stick to it and grow my hair out to a comfortable length before I chop off the relaxed part. That will take some time however so now my main concern is keeping my hair healthy and breakage to a minimum. . .

One of my favorite beauty products I discovered while living in Nigeria is black soap.

My personal favorite brand is Dudu Osun by Tropical Naturals. The ingredients for this soap are honey, shea butter, camwood, palm kernel oil, cocoa pod ash, palm bunch ash, aloe vera, lime juice, water and fragrance. . .

The first time I used Sonia Kashuk’s Large Powder Brush was at Ugochi’s house while getting ready for an event and it’s been on my wish list ever since.

I finally came around to purchasing it the other day and I was glad I did because I was lacking a proper powder brush. Quality brushes can make all the difference with makeup application and this one never seems to fail.

This large powder brush is super soft, picks up product perfectly and applies powder to you face with ease. The sleek and ergonomic design fits your hand which also helps with application.

This brush looks professional and stands up to any other pro brushes you may have in your collection. The price isn’t bad either ($19.99) considering other companies sell makeup brushes that retail for way more.

Sonia Kashuk products are sold at one of my favorite stores, Target! While you’re there check out other products from her line — I know I will.

What’s your fave Sonia Kashuk product?

When I think of Juicy Couture I think of all things girly, cute, pink and of course who can forget their signature velour track suits.

One of my favorite fragrances of all time has got to be “Viva la Juicy” and now my fav Juicy scent has been reincarnated into little roller balls along with three other yummy fragrances; “Peace Love & Juicy Couture,” “Couture Couture,” and “Juicy Couture.”

The roller balls ($19) come in 0.25 oz perfectly cute bottles which I love not only because I can have all of Juicy’s signature scents for a great price but, unlike other perfume bottles, I can carry them around in my purse…

Ugochi, Uzoma and I were invited to Burt’s Bees holiday launch event a few weeks ago.

During our intimate tour with one of their representatives, I got to thinking about all of their products and how they are completely natural, so much so that they don’t even need masks and cover ups in their testing labs.

If natural products exist and work just as well as (if not better than) other products with chemicals, why aren’t more companies jumping on the au natural bandwagon?

Recently I’ve been a bit more conscious of what I put in and on my body. This is surely thanks to close friends and family including my brother who is very mindful of what he eats and uses on his skin and Ugochi who is a health nut that is slowly but surely rubbing off on me. :-)
