Ahh, body lotion. How I love thee. Let me count the ways…
You make my skin so smooth and soft.
You leave a lasting, pretty scent.
You…
Oh, right. Getting carried away! Onto the review…

Well, dear readers, the groundhog saw his shadow last month, bit Mayor Bloomberg (lol!) and we in NYC recently had a huge snowstorm. Needless to say, it’s been quite cold and dry and our skin has been paying the price.

Yes, I probably have tried all the lotions that Johnson’s makes (in case you were wondering).
They’re just so exciting, plus skin care is super-duper important. You can probably guess what Johnson’s Cucumber Melon Baby Lotion smells like…

Spackle be gone!
I first tried Johnson’s Baby Oil Gel back in college. It was new, snazzy and my good friend, Nene, raved about it!
Plus, it was on sale – 2-for-1, baby!
Well…

I had a sample of Palmer’s Olive Butter Formula stashed away in my overflowing Beauty Bin filled with products to be reviewed. So, when I was picking out what to review today, I randomly decided to go with it.
I had used this lotion once upon a time, but had since forgotten about it. Once I cracked open this sample, I remembered why…

I got this along with Hand Relief the last time I went to an Aveda spa for a treatment about a year ago.
Remember how I thought Hand Relief was too light in texture to really moisturize my hands? Well, Foot Relief is jussssst right…

Yet another chapter in the Lotion Chronicles…
Let me just say, lotion is great!
I honestly can’t imagine my life without it… Just the thought of dry, parched and taut skin makes me cringe!
Needless to say, I was really excited to try Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion For Dry, Ashy Skin when I spotted it in the drugstore earlier this year.
Palmer’s makes some really good stuff, but I actually thought this lotion was kind of average. It kept me hydrated, but the formula was much thinner than I expected it to be. I’m into “rich,” “creamy” and “thick,” so if you’re like me you’ll be a little let down, too.

Always a good sport when it comes to body lotions, I couldn’t help but pick up a tube of Jergens new Shea Butter Cream when I spotted it in the drugstore a couple months back.
The first thing I noticed is how thick this stuff is!
My life would be quite itchy and uncomfortable without lotion, so I didn’t mind its thick consistency, but some of you lotion-averse Beauties might shy away from this product. You definitely have to work it in your hands before you smooth it on.
The moisture that this lotion provides is its best quality. You’d be hard pressed to end up ashy or dry at the end of the day if you put this stuff on. Surprisingly, this cream is formulated with a respectable percentage of shea butter. It’s the second ingredient and not the second to last, like some other shea butter products, that shall remain unnamed…

24 Hour Moisturizer is hands down the star of Johnson’s SoftLotion line.
Even if you don’t like using body lotion, I’m willing to bet that you’ll like this product. There’s nothing greasy or heavy about it, yet it manages to stay put all day.
I know a lot of people who’ve used this and have only heard great things about it…

A recent addition to the Olay Body line, Quench Body Lotion has become a favorite among several of my girlfriends. The first thing that strikes me about this lotion is it’s sweet yet clean scent. I have a keen sense of smell, so anything that smells great gets points in my book.
At at about $6, this body lotion is affordable and works well. It contains some shea butter, which is a fab moisturizer in almost any form…
