Did I ever tell you how awesome Brené Brown is?
I was introduced to her by our very own Mommy Beauty contributor, Marina (Thanks, M!) and haven’t looked back!
Brené is a researcher, author, fellow social worker (!!!) and amazing public speaker focusing on topics such as empathy, authenticity, compassion, connection shame and worthiness.
Her words are always very motivational and push the listener or reader to be who they are, not who someone wants them to be. As the title of this post says, YOU ARE ENOUGH!
I find her message to be very powerful, because…

A weekly dose of inspiration…

“CHANGE. If you keep doing what you always did…You’re going to get what you’ve always got!”
-Unknown
Once upon a time, an old and very wise co-worker had this saying posted up in her cubicle. I would always comment on how much I really liked it whenever I popped by to visit, so one day I made a copy and have looked at it daily ever since. It’s ridiculously simple but SO TRUE. Stop expecting different results from the same actions. That’s it. Pay attention and make changes to what’s not working. This week I’m planning and visualizing for this next new (post-graduation) phase in my life and I’ve got plenty of exciting changes to make. First one will be to create a daily routine…
Share your recent or upcoming changes in the comments!

A weekly dose of inspiration…

“Plan big.”
-Anonymous
These two words convey so much. Take 10 minutes and make yourself a plan! One thing I’ve found helpful is to make a list of 3 to 4 things that must get done each day. Of course, many other things pop up, but having a general template helps give the days some shape and focus. Try it out for this week and let me know how it goes!
How do you Beauties stay organized? Leave a comment and let me know!

A weekly dose of inspiration…

“If you don’t have attention, you don’t have time…Be focused on work or focused on something else, never in-between. “
-Tim Ferriss
In the digital age, it can be nearly impossible to really PAY ATTENTION and focus on any one thing. We like this quote because it reminds us to really hone in on one thing at a time and see it to completion, as opposed to partly doing many things at once and getting nothing done. Although, it doesn’t always work, this quote helps send us in the right direction – hopefully it’ll help you out, too!

Since I’m in super-nerdy/awesome-academic mode down here studying abroad in South Africa, I’ve decided to do a re-post of this AWESOME educational opportunity available for FREE.
Learning is awesome, so go ahead and take a (free) class or six…

Here’s a bit of mid-week inspiration for ya, Beauty Pies…

“Change only what you can’t live with, but try to accept who you are, and say yes to what makes you unique. Your confidence will make you sexier than any beauty product or accessory you could possibly buy.”
-Laura Mercier
Such words of wisdom! All of my regular readers know that I believe what’s inside is what’s most beautiful. Self-acceptance is sexy! Look within, my loves. You’ve already got everything you need, the work is in realizing it and letting the confidence shine through.

Howdy dolls,
Have you ever heard of the Handel Group? Well, I hadn’t until I had the pleasure of reading the talented Amy Dubois Barnett‘s book, Get Yours, which I loved and will be reviewing soon.
Amy spoke so highly of the Handel Group’s life coaching services that I decided to reach out to them for an interview (post coming soon!) for the Beauty on the Inside series here at Beauty 365. The Handel Group’s newsletter (which I highly recommend subscribing to) recently featured the below 4 Tips for Finding “The One” for everyone who is single and ready to create a relationship they can be proud of.
1) Note who you are dating now, if you are not impressed, go to work on YOU. You reflect each other.
2) A relationship that’s built to last has no room for “I don’t want to talk about it.” If that exists in your relationship, change it…
3) Understand your history, it has great themes and clues about what needs to shift – especially if you want to be “Done Dating.”
4) You don’t need to find some rare, ideal person whose perfection circumvents all that’s wrong with you. You do have to design a relationship with someone you admire, who is ready to get to work with you.
So, what do you guys think?
Tips 1 and 3 speak to me the most. Understanding of self, personal history and how we relate is so important in order for us to create what we want in all relationships, especially the closest ones.
Food for thought!

Here’s a bit of Tuesday inspiration for ya, Beauty Pies…

“The greatest mistake you can make in life is to continually be afraid you will make one.”
Elbert Hubbard
Sometimes we all need a kick in the butt to get going. This is just a reminder that everyone makes “mistakes” so try not to sweat it! Mistakes are really just learning opportunities anyway – trust me, I make them every day

Here’s a bit of mid-week inspiration for ya, Beauty Pies…

“The quality of your life is the quality of your relationships.”
–Anthony Robbins
How are your closest relationships? The way in which you relate with family, friends and significant others speaks volumes about you and the quality of your life. Life is so much richer when you surround yourself with the right people and are able to communicate and interact in an open and honest way. Take a critical look at your relationships today and make sure that your efforts and energies are well-allocated. And, don’t be afraid to do some spring cleaning !
