Hi Beauty Pies!
I’ve been more into my nails as of late, so I figured why not share it on the blog?
Anyhoo, I used to be irrationally obsessed with glittery nail polish as a pre-teen (and, frankly, a teen!) so this look is sort of a a modern throwback. . .a rebirth of glitter, if you will.

Keep reading to find out more about this look. . .
So, this look too almost no time at all. I HATE doing my nails myself, but this was actually fairly easy. Here are the steps I followed + products used:
1. Base Coat – I recently purchased Essie’s Protein Base Coat ($4) and I’m liking it. It’s clear but adds a nice bit of strength to my less-than-super-strong nails.
2. Sparkle Polish – It has literally been over 10 (more like 15 years) since I last purchased a polish with any sparkle, glitter or shimmer. I’d essentially outgrown it, but leave it to BirchBox to get me back on the bandwagon! This month’s box came with a full-size of Essie’s Set In Stones ($8) polish. On a whim, I decided to just paint my tips for a fun, semi-gradient effect. I have to say I love the outcome!
3. Quick Dry Top Coat – The good folks at Bloomie Nails in midtown put me onto Duri Cosmetics Miracote Super Fast Dry Top Coat ($7) and I have not looked back. It dries in seconds and never gets gloppy and sticky like Seche Vite can towards the end of a bottle. Waiting for my nails to dry used to be the bane of my existence — not anymore!
And, there you have it!
Here’s an up-close pic of one nail for the road. . .

So, what do you guys think? Would you try this look? Ever try any of these products?
