Guest Beauty: REVIEW – Moroccanoil

by Stephanee for Beauty 365

Back in my day I remember the hair products I used most were Let’s Jam gel, Crème of Nature shampoo, John Frieda Frizz Ease, Dudley Cream Press and Coconut Oil for moisturizing. I’m sure there were loads of other products but that’s what I can recall.

When I was given a chance to try out Moroccanoil ($41.00) I was so excited because I’ve heard nothing but good reviews.

Well…have you ever tried a product and felt not quite sure if it’s working or not? That was the initial impression I got from Moroccanoil. It is true that this product absorbs quickly into hair and leaves no reside like the label states but I couldn’t tell a difference in the state of my hair after applying this oil.

I think there are two reasons for this; number one, I was used to the hair oils from my day, the greasy, thick oils that attract every dirt particle within radius of my head but at least produces shine. Number two my hair is very thick. When I think of oil I think that it is supposed to make my hair radiate and look healthy and moisturized. I had to take a step back and realize that this is not my “oil” from when I was in high school, this is one of the “new generation” oil treatments that perform in a different way.

Once I stepped outside of that box of what I thought hair oil is supposed to be, I was able notice the way Moroccanoil performs. I’ve tried this product on wet and dry hair and I did notice a huge difference when I forgot to use this product before blow drying.

Trial and error lead me to realize that Moroccan Oil helps my hair blow dry faster and makes it easier to blow dry with less drag from the… dryer.

The smell of this oil is my favorite part it’s a sweet musky calming scent. I wish this company also made other products like body oil or bath oils, too. So now that my eyes have been opened I will definitely use Moroccanoil again and am interested in trying their other products as well. This product as well as other Moroccanoil products can be found as select stores in your area.

Have you tried this cult favorite? If so, let us know what you think!
