Ohh, the joys of Thread!

After being orphaned by my long-time eyebrow lady (Luciana, we miss you!), I wandered from salon to salon for weeks attempting to recreate the magic. Several sketchy salons (and painful burns – waxing = ouch!) later, I popped into the Thread on 33rd Street as a semi-last resort. I’ve been loyal ever since!

The sophisticated minimalist aesthetic and the relaxing tunes wafting out onto the sidewalk got me to peek my head in. And the friendly and talented staff has kept me coming back every 1.5 weeks like clockwork (my hair grows back pretty fast!)

Thread offers uber-cheap threading (8 bucks for brows!) and a nifty little frequent customer card – the 7th eyebrow threading is free. Waxing, facials, massage and henna are also offered at this establishment that recently opened a new branch on Nassau Street in the Financial District.

If you’re in the mood for an affordable personal grooming experience that seems anything but, get your behind over to Thread, lay back in one of the cushy salon chairs or steal away to one of the treatment suites. That means you men, too – there’s no shame in preserving your sexy!

For super brows, ask for Nora at the 33rd and 3rd location – she never lets me down!
