You have no idea how long I’ve been searching high and low for the perfect gel to twist my hair with!

So many of them either have too soft of a hold or they start to flake as soon as they dry (ick!)

If I two-strand twist with just a hair crème (like this one) or hair oil, the twists get fuzzy and ratty really quickly – no good, since I like to wear my twists for about two weeks…

Back when I used to attempt to pay people to do my hair for me, one hairdresser not only twisted it while it was wet, but she slathered on Ampro’s Pro Styl Protein Styling Gel. I went with it and my twists held realllllly well for over a week! Then, when I separated my twists, I had a cute little crinkly hairstyle that I could wear for a few more days – jackpot!

The gel itself looks kind of scary since it’s a black-ish brown, but the hold it provides is superb (and alcohol-free)!
