First Aid Antibiotic Ointment by Neosporin

So, if you’ve been following my Beautiful Ruminations off to the right, you’ll know that I had a mole on my foot that I noticed looked a little different a little over a month ago.

It had gotten a bit darker and changed shape a teeny bit, which kind of freaked me out. So, I go to the (super cute!) dermatologist to have it looked at and to have total body mole check done (May was Skin Cancer Awareness Month , after all…)

I ended up having to get the mole removed right then and there, which was a lot more than I expected. I also got a nice set of stitches for the next 2 weeks and orders to stay off my feet as much as possible for the next 6 weeks! Booo!

Part of my after care includes applying antibiotic ointment and a fresh bandage twice daily, which is a pain in the butt to say the least…

I was worried for a while about the scar, but I guess the NeoSporin has been doing the trick, because I am looking and feeling much better 5 weeks later. This petrolatum-based antibiotic crème did a great job at protecting my wound from infection.

I’m sure the store brand works just as well, so be sure to reach for either next time you get a cut or burn!

As always…
