I had a sample of Palmer’s Olive Butter Formula stashed away in my overflowing Beauty Bin filled with products to be reviewed. So, when I was picking out what to review today, I randomly decided to go with it.

I had used this lotion once upon a time, but had since forgotten about it. Once I cracked open this sample, I remembered why…

Now, I really like Palmer’s. The products I have tried generally do a great job at moisturizing my skin. And Olive Butter is no exception. The texture is light and almost gel-like, which kind of threw me off at first, but it works quite well.

But, it’s the smell that got me – Darn this nose of mine!

“Botanical” is a word that comes to mind when I sniff the glob of it on the back of my hand right this second. I think the good folks at Palmer’s were trying to come up with something that smelled “natural” (whatever that means) but it just doesn’t click with me.

I guess since olive oil doesn’t really have a scent, they had to get creative…who knows?

Anyhoo, if you don’t mind the smell, this lotion has a lot of good ingredients like extra virgin olive oil, antioxidants and coconut oil to keep you feeling smooth and supple.
