I’ve decided that lengthening mascaras are the wave of the future! My future, at least…

I grabbed L’Oreal’s Telescopic Mascara in Rite Aid one evening just because.

I’d seen the commercial with Penelope Cruz’s lashes looking like they had quadrupled in volume and length, so I figured why not give it a shot?

As I had mentioned in this post , there was no way that was really what would happen if one used this product. Unfortunately false lashes are common practice in the mascara advertising biz…

And, yet, I still got sucked in! Doh!

This is a decent mascara that does lengthen as promised. But, did my lashes look anything like Penelope’s…you know they didn’t!

The brush was interesting. It was plastic (as opposed to wire or fiber) which I do prefer, but the brush isn’t really rigid. It kind of bends and wiggles and gives much more than I would have liked. I guess that’s why it’s called a “Flexible Precision Brush.”

One thing the brush does do that I like is that it’s slim enough to reach pretty much all of my lashes. I have a pet peeve about mascara brushes that are big, bulbous and huge – that never works for those of us on the shorter end of the lash length spectrum, but that’s another post altogether…
