I love, Love, LOVE when a new goody bag arrives in the mail

Many thanks to the marvelous Melle and talented Teresa on Listerine’s promo team for sending me these snazzy new whitening strips to review!

Teeth whitening strips have become all the rage these days and a lot of the at home systems really do work. That holds true for Listerine’s new Quick Dissolving Whitening Strips.

My teeth were whiter after just the first couple days, so I can vouch for that. These minty fresh strips are also great at combating bad breath, which is a nice perk!

However, this whole “whitening your teeth on the go” concept bugged me from the start…

One of the big selling points of this product is that you can go anywhere and conveniently use it. I dunno about you, but I really don’t need to whiten my teeth as I walk my dog or sit in a movie theater or drive my car.

These strips are to be applied morning and night for 14 days and are supposed to dissolve completely in about 15 minutes. The only problem is, the strips never fully dissolved and I would always end up having to brush to get the last bits off of my teeth. The remnants would get pretty gummy on my front teeth especially…

Needless to say, this didn’t feel too great and I def. wouldn’t want to be outside in the world (and away from my toothbrush!) when this happened…

I mean, what if I ran into a cute guy?!

So, do check these strips out if you’d like to try a reasonable and effective home whitening system, but just be sure to keep it indoors!
