Tee hee, I guess I did buy a lot of stuff on that Sephora/Macy’s mini spree …
Anyhoo, my quest to combat oily skin led me to Blot Powder earlier this year . I already have the pressed version, so I didn’t really neeeeed the loose version but…I guess I just wanted it…
That sounded kind of crazy didn’t it?
Moving right along, Blot Powder is the sheerest and lightest powder you can get from MAC. As the name suggests, it’s designed to “blot” away oil and shine without leaving much of a trace. It comes in four neutral shades and pretty much does what it says.
Now, I like it, but my only complaint is that my skin sucks it up too quickly. I’ll be nice and matte for like an hour, but then, it all goes downhill.
I hate, hate, hate having to reapply on the go – so, I usually don’t, but then I end up having to use blotting papers , which can get annoying after a while :-/
Then there’s option C, attempting to pass off my shine for dewiness (doh!)
Soooo, if your skin is on the oily side like mine, you may want to look into an anti-shine primer or some other oil control concoction in addition to this stuff…come to think of it, that might have to be next on my purchase list!
