Ohhh, Sulfur 8…

I feel like I’ve tried buying this stuff every other year or so to try and make my hair grow longer and faster….but somehow give up on it each time for one reason or another.

Sulfur is supposed to promote hair growth and an unfortunate bout with some braids that I got in Nigeria a couple months ago left me with a crazy looking hairline :-/ Sooooo, I figured it was time to give this stuff a shot yet again! But, I sort of forgot one major thing…

This stuff really smells!

Like, really. And this is the “Light” formula…

I tried to brave it as long as I could, but my nose is sensitive and I didn’t notice any change in my little bald patch

Like many drugstore scalp conditioners, Sulfur 8 is petrolatum based, which meant my hairline was shining like crazy and not especially “moisturized.” Sulfur 8 Light is a pale yellow in color and we already went over how it smells…

Despite all this, it still sells really well and has had a consistent spot on the drugstore shelves ever since I can remember. It’s supposed to combat dandruff, too, which I don’t suffer from, but if you do this might be worth a shot.

Let me know if you’ve fared any better with this stuff!
