Fancy hair oil.
Those are the first three words that come to mind when I think about Lisa’s Hair Elixir by Carol’s Daughter…
On its own, I’m not terribly impressed with this blend of soy, sweet almond, olive, peppermint and sage oils. Hair oils in general aren’t my cup of tea. They tend to just coat the hair and not provide lasting moisture. But, Lisa’s Hair Elixir does work decently well at jazzing my hair up if it gets dull, a little dry or needs a little pop of fragrance.
Depending on how dry your hair is, use a water-based moisturizing crème before applying the oil. This way, the oil seals in the moisture and your hair will be very happy
The scent of this oil is strong, spicy and musky, like many of the Carol’s Daughter’s products that I’ve tried. I gravitate towards scents like that, so I didn’t really mind it, but it may be too distinct a fragrance for some of you Beauties.
Since CD products have recently made it into Sephora, you can pop into your local branch and try it out. Sephora sells a 2 oz. bottle for about $8, but that size is only available in stores. Online, the 8 oz bottle sells for $18.
Let me know of you’ve tried this stuff out and what you thought!
As always, Stay Beautiful
