Shiny-faced Beauties unite!
My skin can get oily as the day goes on, and there comes a point where “glowing” and “dewy” transforms into just plain greaseball. Also, I use sunblock on a daily basis and the agents used in pretty much all SPF that I have tried make me a bit shiny…
My first foray into the world of blotting papers happened at, you guessed it, Sephora.
All you have to do is gently pat (never rub!) Sephora’s Matte Blotting Film anywhere you see excess oil. You know they’re working because the film starts to turn a darker blue and becomes drenched in the grease that was just on your face.
This product does leave makeup pretty much undisturbed and sucks up excess oil more neatly than a plain tissue. Also, these blotting papers are a pale blue in color and are super duper thin.
Kudos to Sephora for the neat packaging! There is a small adhesive rectangle on the inside of the top flap that grabs onto each sheet as you open for easy dispensing.
At $10 for a pack of 50, I think these are expensive if you use them frequently. Since, I often try to pass my shine off as “dewiness,” I don’t use them every day. However, I like to keep a pack in my purse when go out at night to make sure my smashing evening makeup stays looking its best.
As always, Stay Beautiful!
