Once upon a time, I was wandering through Rite-Aid after work. I saw a glimmering mirage in the distance, so I moved in for a better look. It was there, in the beloved cosmetics, aisle that I saw those magical yellow 2-for-1 signs plastered near most of the products in the L’Oreal High Intensity Pigments (H.I.P.) display…
About 20 minutes and 4 products later, I was back in my apartment testing out the goods!
All the blushes I’ve used to date are department store brands, so I was interested in trying L’Oreal’s Blendable Blushing Creme out. I also have a slight obsession with crème blushes these days and I wanted to see how creamy and blendable this stuff really is.
I must say, this isn’t bad for a drugstore blush.
Blendable Blushing Crème only comes in four shades, and I purchased two of them. Elated (#886) is a shimmery plum with a bit of fuschia, while Blushing (#888) is more of a tawny cross between rose and coral.

Even though I’m not sure about how great these colors look on me, I really like how this product applies. This is more of a creamy solid as opposed to a dewy, liquidy, gel-like blush. It goes on really smoothly and you can blend it really easily with just your finger – no fancy crème blush brushes needed!
H.I.P.’s crème blush (and eye shadow duo) compacts come with a handy little mirror in the bottom panel. The compacts are a little unwieldy, though and I usually end up doing a lot of fumbling before I’m able to open the top panel to get to the product.
Can’t beat the price of these at $10 each. Try to catch a sale though, which will make your purchase even sweeter!
