Soothing Lip Balm by Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush is hands-down my favorite lip gloss (and I have tried just about every gloss under the sun).
I’ve been addicted ever since a good friend of mine included it as part of a birthday gift three years ago. Back then, it was called Balmy Nights and was marketed as a night-time lip treatment to refresh, revive and moisturize the lips. About a year ago, VS changed the name to Beauty Rush and began to market it as a Soothing Lip Balm. They also raised the price from $5.50 to $7.00.
The moisture that this gloss provides is very thorough and lasting… it doesn’t just coat lips like other thinner glosses sometimes do. This makes it great as a stand alone or as a base for other tinted glosses or lipsticks. A touch of peppermint oil gives it a pleasant minty taste.
Beauty Rush is a semi-opaque white color when in the tin, but goes on clear. Applying a few extra coats leaves lips with a brilliant and lasting shine.
I always buy two at a time, so I’ll never be left high and dry. Plus, there is a quantity discount when you buy more than one tin at time. In my opinion, this is the most cost-effective item sold by VS! My friend’s boyfriend even has his own tin!
What’s The Catch? – It’s not really a catch per se, but since the formula of Beauty Rush is so thick and so rich, I can find it a little sticky or tacky depending on my mood. I sometimes prefer to apply a thinner base of petroleum jelly, Blistex or cocoa butter before I apply Beauty Rush. I find that it makes the balm glide on to my lips more smoothly.
Overall, this is a *fab* gloss that is cheap enough for you to try just for the heck of it and you won’t be disappointed!

I completely agree with your post. Balmy Nights/Beauty Rush is the BEST lip product I ever used. You put me on to this and now I’ve put others on to it. It’s sooooooo great.
